Overview
Fit For You is an app that helps users plan their workout schedule based
on their needs. It focuses on helping people at all stages from beginner to
advanced exercise at home since users maybe unable to go to a gym for
a variety of reasons.
Role
UI/UX Designer
Users are having a hard time going to the gym to work out. They may be too busy with life or afraid to workout in a public setting due to current world issues. Most workout apps I've come across don't ask the right questions to help users determine what they need to succeed or provide services beyond working out.
Challenge
Competition
Fitbod
Doesn’t ask questions to help guide the user to the best possible workout. Fit For Your asks a series of questions to provide suggested workout options for its users.
BetterMen
Provides user with workout programs instead of letting the user create their own workouts. Users may be looking for specific workouts that aren’t
available in the program. Fit For You suggests workouts and gives the user the option to choose which exercise they would like to perform.
Home Workout Fitness
Doesn’t allow you to time your workout sessions. Users would like to view how long their sessions are to see progress over time. Fit For You lets you start and stop your sessions and view past
workout sessions to see your progress.
Personas
Fit For You targets users between the ages of 21 to 44. This group is most likely to work out and at the age may not have a lot of free time due to work or school.

IOS
The user selects the area of the body they choose to focus on
Android
They then pick between a variety of workout options
for the targeted area
The users then able to workout with recommended settings based on the difficulty level they've chosen during the questions phase
The home page provides helpful walkthrough videos if the user needs assistance.
User Feedback
IOS and Android prototypes were created and tested by several people to gather feedback on what worked and what didn't. Here is what they had to say.
Change the home page title,
the healthy food video
doesn't match the title page
and creates a disconnect
with everything else on the
page.
IOS
Android
You could change the logo
to a weight to have the app
become gender neutral, but
everything overall was
simple and easy to read.
I took the suggestion into consideration and decided to stay with the original logo
You can add a progression bar to showcase how many questions the user has answered and how many they have left.
